I was just organizing my storage unit and came across a calendar Max made me for when he was in school at P.S. 116. I was his Power Lunch partner who would come once a week to the school to read to him or have him read to me. I flipped through the pages of that calendar, looked at the pictures he drew and smiled at each entry as the memories came flooding back. Memories of an adorable, shy, a bit impish, caring, FUNNY, little boy. I enjoyed those weekly meetings with him so much. So, I decided to try and use the power of the internet to find Max who, I figured, must be a grown man by now. I was heartbroken by what I found. My deepest condolences to Max's family and all who loved him. I'm so saddened by this.

Every day i wake up remembering how i found him i cant get his face of that sunday out of my head im very sorry for your lost but to this very day i still see him its tramatic to wake up and still see him the way he was on that sunday when i found him this hurts me so hard i can’t imagine what its like to loose your son but also to see his face everyday well i will try to get over this but his death traumatized me and now im trying so hard to be at peace

Dearest Rose, Laura, Ken , Honey and your family, Our heartfelt sympathies for your unimaginable grief of the loss of Max. I don’t have the words to fully express myself and hope that in time when you are comfortable we can talk and share our loving memories of your beautiful son. I remember his smiles while in scouts and the independence he enjoyed as he matured and grew up. So handsome and witty. I know he was your sun, the moon and stars...the center of your universe as he tried to navigate the challenges that confronted him. My love and please remember I’m here to listen. I am so sorry for your loss. It is just unspeakable and unacceptable to lose a child this way. My heart goes out to the entire family. I know the pain and it is the worst pain you will ever feel. Max and Isaac were friends at York, and I would like to think they will reconnect once again.
