Obituary of Matthew J. Crehan

Please share a memory of Matthew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Matthew J. Crehan passed away on October 22, 2015 after a valiant battle with colon cancer at age 53. He was surrounded by his loving son, all his brothers and sisters, his ex-wife and nephew. He was the son of the late Bernadine Dorman Crehan and late Lt. Colonel, Alfred E. Crehan. Matt was a senior Client Director of Global Solutions at NTT Communications. Matt was also an entrepreneur and was in the process of developing a major cancer outreach with a global, fortune 500 company. Matthew grew up in Franklin Lakes. He attended Most Blessed Sacrament and Don Bosco Prep. He played football for Boston University and graduated from The College of New Jersey. A major sports enthusiast, Matt loved football above anything else and had an active group of old and new friends with whom he discussed and dissected every game and play. Matthew had a warm and loving nature and an incredible sense of humor. He was non-judgmental and forgiving and had a wide range of friends from CEO's to local shopkeepers. He never walked into a room of strangers, just friends he had not met yet. He will be dearly missed and greatly remembered. He leaves behind his son Jordan Crehan, ex-wife Regina Kravitz-Crehan, sisters Susan Crehan-Hostetler, Katherine Crehan-Sharp and Lisa Crehan- Jegen; brothers: Alfred Crehan, Mark Crehan and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. The wake will take place on Tuesday, October 27th 5-9PM at Gannon Funeral Home, 152 East 28th St. NYC. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wed. Oct 28, 10:00AM at Church of Our Savior, 59 Park Ave. NYC at 38th St. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Matt's honor to ColonCancerAlliance.org.
