Pacita Capellan was born in Masbate, Philippines to Felix Capellan  and Rose Ty. She grew up with her beloved sisters, Iluuminada and Clarisa.  She graduated from Chinese General Hospital School of Nursing and then immigrated to the United States settling with her sister, Iluuminada, and working as a nurse for over 60 years primarily at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.  She dedicated her life to family, friends & patients. She traveled all over the world with her late sister, Iluuminada, throughout both of their lives and lived together at their Gramercy apartment until their remaining days. She passed away peacefully on September 13, surrounded by loved ones at her bedside.
