To the family of Maureen Moffatt, I am sorry for your loss and wanted to offer my condolences. Something that has brought comfort to many is learning what the Bible teaches about death. The Bible calls death an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) What will happen to the people who have already died? Jehovah God has promised to bring billions of people back to enjoy life fever on earth. (Acts 24:15) I hope you can take comfort in this sure promise.

To quote Helen Keller, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
Maureen Kathleen Cunneen Moffatt, also known as Cunneenie, is definitely a part of me, of us - the multitude of friends she grew with along the way. Maureen has lovingly earned MANY monikers: school mate, loving and lively friend, partner in crime, roomie, confidant, fellow traveler, lover of lavender, wine sharer, queen of the “party favor,” giggle buddy, GREAT listener, and so much more. We’ve been friends for as long as I realized what friendship meant! For that, I am so thankful, because she has blessed me with over 50 years of wonderful memories, too many to share on this one page.
Her passing leaves a huge void, but to share a favorite quote by A.A. Milne, I also feel blessed in knowing, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
Maureen, you are deeply loved and appreciated. I truly hope this is not goodbye, but till we meet again.
Much Love, Kathy Kay

Q: What will you never forget about Maureen?
A: The first and only time I visited New York was with Maureen's sister, Ellen. We came together to celebrate Ellen's birthday.
Maureen was such a shining light of excitement and instant friendship. She took us through Grand Central Station and on to the theatre where we saw Mary Poppins. She gave us a great beginning to a three day whirlwind tour of New York.
I will always remember her warmth and energy and instant friendship.

I’ve known Maureen since grammar school. We became very close in 8th grade. I distinctly remember the first time we ever went skiing. We had no ski pants—only jeans. We went down the bunny hill and didn’t know how to stop. We landed right in the parking lot. We laughed so hard until we cried. I never forgot it. It seemed like it was yesterday. I have many more stories that I will never forget and keep dear in my heart forever. I love you, my dearest friend. Darleen ❤️
