<b> Angel Beitia</b> passed on November 13, 2004 at his residence in New York City. Long time companion of Nora Rodriguez. Devoted uncle to his extended family. Angel came to America from Cuba as part of the Freedom flotilla. (Known as the Mariel Boatlift, approximately 124, 000 undocumented Cuban migrants entered the United States by a flotilla of mostly US vessels in violation of US law.) Upon arriving in the United States Angel toiled as a handyman/janitor. In 1983 he retired and studied the game of dominoes where he became a master champion. Funeral services took place in Calvary Cemetery on December 21, 2001.
