Stephen B. Labunski, former Broadcast Executive, died March 21, 2011 at home following a long illness. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Jeralyn, a son, Richard and numerous nieces and nephews. A family graveside service was held at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, New York on March 23, 2011 Born in Poland, the son of Wictor and Wanda Labunski, He was a longtime resident of New York City. He attended the University of Kansas City, Mo. and Georgetown University. Stephen served in the U.S. Army Air Force Military Intelligence from 1943-1946 ans an interpreter for both Russian and Polish languages. Mr. Labunski enjoyed a long career as a Broadcast Executive with NBC Radio, Merv Griffin Group Radio and International Radio and Television Society. He was a longtime member of the Friars Club. An avid reader, Mr. Labunski's favorite times were spent with Jeralyn, the love of his life, working the New York Times crossword puzzles and enjoying his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
