He would not give up on a person or a problem. He was great hearted and generous and always ready to make a friend. He could turn your day upside down and make you like it. He was charming and maddening, loving and warm. He had a great appetite for life. One of the things he enjoyed during our many visits to Cancun was watching the sunrise over the Caribbean from our terrace. He loved it because it symbolizes rebirth and hope for the future, and also because it meant that it was almost time for breakfast with our Cancun friends. Ray is my sunrise. Susan O'Connor
