Conor, our family in Brazil is very grateful for Rita having had the chance to share a life with you. Thank you for taking care of her and being there for her. We have great memories of your visit to Brazil and your warm welcoming in New York. May these memories bring us comfort. She will be missed. Our condolences. Aunt Rita was more than special to me. Even living far away, she kept in touch and wanted to know if I was doing well. Whenever possible we would go for a visit in New York or she would go to Brazil. She motivated and inspired me in so many ways. She was kind and sweet and she cared very much for me. She taught me great lessons. Most of all, she motivated me to follow my dreams and not to be afraid. I’ll miss our talks, jokes and how we used to make fun of each other and laugh about things in life. It hurts a lot not to have her around anymore and not to able to share my future conquers and experiences. She was really brave and strong fighting cancer. I am grateful for having had the chance to be with her and to have great memories of our moments together. I know that she’ll be very proud from where she is. She’ll be sorely missed by me.

Conor we were so sad to hear about the passing of Auntie Rita! Eimear and I had so many happy memories of us visiting you both! Although, as Eimear said, I think Rita got the short straw when she would have to spend hours visiting every shop in New York with us! Rita was always so welcoming and I remember all the delicious food she would make when we came to stay! Sending you lots of love Fiona, Richard, Willow, Caspar & Percy xx

We are very saddened at the passing of Rita. We met Rita on a number of occasions at family gatherings in Dublin. She was a most engaging and kind lady. She will be sadly missed. She was devoted to Conor as he was to her. She would be so proud of him and his strength, selflessly caring for her over the difficult months. The service was a fitting tribute and we were privileged to participate online to watch the service from here in Dublin. I have so many wonderful memories with Auntie Rita, both as young child in Ireland and then when I was older visiting New York. She endured countless trips with Fiona and I to Bloomingdales, Macys and every shop in New York in between at least three times on every visit. We shared many jokes and laughs on these trips. Rita always looked perfect and had a great sense of style. She was always so kind and generous, with a great sense of humour and I always loved my visits to Conor and Rita. Our love and thoughts are with Conor and RIP Rita ❤️. Eimear, Mark, Olivia and Sonny ❤️❤️❤️❤️
